I don’t get it. Boring menu. boring atmosphere, unnecessarily noisy, and overpriced. These guys have an absolutely prime location too which is really sad. The service is terrible as there is actually is none.

My friend and I were attracted to the aesthetically pleasing atmosphere of this café, with big leather chairs and open doors that breathed in the sun on the unusually warm winters day. Although, highly satisfied by the outside, the inside highly unsatisfying. The service was terrible, no greeting at the door, or directed where to sit. No menus handed to us, our table never cleared of the previous visitors. Drinks took a lengthy time to arrive, food arrived cold and not too flavoursome. This was our experience for breakfast, maybe other meals are done better but I won’t be going back to try anytime in the near future.

I love the big leather seats and the location on Greville St can’t be beaten. The service however is woeful. In fact, it’s so bad it is funny. I go here all the time, it’s near my apartment, I schedule a lot of coffee meetings, and I do this because of the layout and location. The problem I face is that the staff are just terribly managed. If I don’t order immediately I don’t get served. If I order food, it takes forever to come out, and is often wrong. Honestly, a good manager and business structure and this place could easily be #1 in the area. Unfortunatley they are happy to be a 50% café, and so they are destined to get 50% results until they invest in better staff training. Coffee is good quality. Food is fine, nothing to write home about.

I went here on a date with my boyfriend. I found the service to be exceptional, however two things bring the place down. The first one is this place has a massive menu and a very big menu. I could see that if this place was busy it would take a long time for food to come out. The second one is that this place is actually a chain of stores which could put off a few fussy diners looking for a boutique café experience that is offered in this dining precinct.

I think this café might have new ownership as the manager told me they have only been open 3 days… At any rate, we walked by and decided to try this place out because of the lively atmosphere and Latin American music humming out the doors. At first glance the menu was not very Cuban with an odd mix of burgers, pizzas, breakfast items and tacos. My dining companion and I got iced lattes, tapas-sized chicken tacos and crispy calamari with fries. It took the lattes 20 mins to arrive and the food over 40 mins to arrive. Other diners around we’re experiencing similar delays. I got up and complained about the long wait for food and wanted my order cancelled but they were in the middle of making it. The calamari was fairly standard and served with tartar sauce(rather than an aioli) and the fries were machine cut McD’s-style. The chicken tacos were fairly nice. In the end the manager gave us 50% off our meals and asked us to come back once they have sorted themselves out. Part of me would revisit due to the manager’s recognition of poor service however there is nothing on the menu I would go back to eat.
