Java Juice

Java juice is a trendy takeaway fresh juice place that also serves up smoothies, Bircher muesli, yoghurt and raw desserts.
There are over 10 options to choose from and the smallest juice size (but a pretty decent size) comes for 5.40.
I got myself a ginger snap that includes celery, ginger, apple and carrot. I had the celery replaced with kale at no extra cost. Even got mine without ice at no extra cost. And got a full glass too.
Great prices. Cheaper than those lame cold pressed juices as these are freshly squeezed and great options to choose from with replacements at no cost.

These guys have Perth’s greatest selections of juices and smoothies and I love the fact that they provide you the nutritional info before you imbibe. My favourite of course is the Banana Republic smoothie and the Kale Revolution Juice. Pick up a loyalty card as you’ll know you’ll be back.

Java Juice do some very nice juices, and they use actual fruit — none of the quick-​o bottled juices here. On the other hand, their servings are small for their price. I guess you get what you pay for — for actual fruit, you have to pay more for smaller serves. The centrepiece of Java Juice is their wheatgrass shots, which apparently has a lot of health benefits. They even offer a small sample. If the small sample is anything to go by, it tastes terrible, although there are people who are willing to take the full shot.

I love a good juice and have one every day. I have a few non-​negotiables though — it has to be freshly squeezed and if I’m paying more than $ 5 then the cup has to be the size of my head. Java Juice accommodates to both demands. I also quite like their inviting pink and green colour scheme. The pumping pop music might think you’ve come across another Boost Juice Rip Off, but give Java a chance. For $ 8.20, I recommend getting a jumbo 2 and 5 with Guarana. My only complaint is that there’s no green juices!
