TAFEers and TAFEettes, you need to know about this place! If you haven’t already found this gem I strongly suggest that you go check it out! I am giving Isshin 5 stars because of its prices and handy location. It is located right on the corner of Francis St and Museum St, don’t let the address confuse you though because the entrance is actually on Museum St. There isn’t a very large sign either so you need to know what you are looking for!(I will attach a photo of the front when I can make my phone work again) When you go inside on your right is a food case holding an assortment of sushi as well as an assortment of freshly made chicken, fish, and beef teriyaki with rice. The teriyaki dishes range from $ 6.50 — $ 8.50 today I had the chicken($ 7.50) and it was awesome! I saw another girls order for fried udon noodles and fish($ 8.50) come out though and that is definitely what I will be having next week. They also have 2 large coolers with all the soda you could want but the star of the cooler for me is the coconut water, I am totally hooked on that stuff and $ 3.80 is a reasonable restaurant price for a 400ml bottle. Everything for the most part(other than the udon soup and miso soup) is in a takeaway container and because they food comes out so quick Isshin is a great option for take away but they have seating as well. There are a few smaller tables scattered around 2 long rows of seating. I would guess about 30 people could sit down but most do just take their food away. It isn’t air conditioned but they have fans and I never find the heat a problem. Isshin is a must do for students(or anyone in Northbridge) looking for cheep tasty eats.
