I was admitted for an SVT ablation on the 22÷2÷16, and after a few unexpected problems left with a pacemaker. Although this was a shock to me the attitude and professionalism of all the attending staff was far above and beyond an expectations and made this a much easy experience than it could have been. From my pre admitting meeting the Friday before right through to my departure I am constantly amazed how happy and friendly all the staff are, remembered patients names and history. It’s a great testimony to your hospital and I couldn’t recommend it enough to any one needing cardiac treatment. Even as I write this in the the departure lounge the cleaning lady has come in smiling wishing everyone a good morning. I must give special thanks and praise to Lance Stapledon and Lucy Pavitt for their professional yet fun attitude keeping the atmosphere light and stress free, during my ablation and Lucy for assisting me in recovery. Emma Higgs and Peter Veitch for doing the same in my Pacemaker implant. Although all the nursing staff were so, so helpful, Jen Gronon was another standout. I must also express My huge heart felt appreciation to Prof Jonathan Kalman who seemed to pop up at the perfect times to explain and reassure me of what had and will be happening. He never rushed through our conversations and always left me at ease. Who ever has put all these systems as procedures in place with in the cardiac ward should be extremely proud of how it makes a lot of people and departments flux together seamlessly. Every one coming out of the cardiac department sings the praise of al the staff and mine is just one of many stories of people you have touched.
