Why are older women seemingly so obsessed with wearing the most colourful clothes they can find? I realised straight off that this shop wasn’t aimed at people of my age, right around the time that I noticed the insane amounts of lime green and fuchsia, often working together on a blouse. None of this is a criticism; I love bright colours and funky patterns. I’ve simply noticed younger girls tend to wear more understated colours and patterns before they morph into these women wearing turquoise skirts with matching cardigans to their art classes, and I find it curious. Maybe all females have a ‘must wear bright colours’ epiphany when menopause kicks in. Pondering on the female psyche aside; this is a great casual clothing store, if you’re into standing out.

I don’t really know what’s going on in Vers Boutique and I wouldn’t wear its fashions myself but geez, I commend these guys for their use of bold colours and wow-factor patterns. The brightness of this place literally smacks you in the face when you walk in and if you’re a fan of bold colours and styles, this is definitely the place for you. The words that spring to mind when I think of Vers Boutique aren’t even technically words: pizzazzy, is probably the best way to describe it in my mind. They have some really pizzazzy pieces and some really busy patterns that definitely make a statement. There’s a lot of lycra and a lot of cotton and trust me, there’s a lot going on with Vers Boutique’s clothing, but it somehow works for them. I personally wouldn’t buy any of the fashion, but I had a pretty good time rummaging through the clothes and delighting in their boldness of designs. I think it’s a place that would be great for older women with a really fun-loving sense of style and women who love statement pieces. Some of their jewellery pieces were actually quite remarkable, and the ladies working there was beyond friendly, so it was actually a lovely experience to walk into this shop.
