Excellent service and presentation, waitress was very friendly and had a series of recommendations(and substitutions) handy for us newcomers to the restaurant. Pleasant, easygoing atmosphere! Food was quite nice, maybe a little on the pricey side, but was pleasantly surprised by the recommendations which were all great! Ordered an extra beef vindaloo in the middle of the meal which was handled with no problems — but maybe should have listened to the waitress and stuck to the number of dishes we already had. Definitely overate, woof!

My experience seems to be in the middle of all these reviews. The staff were pleasant, and not stand offish. The décor is great. I can’t complain on the service. The food, delicious. I had the 4 seasons of Vindaloo and it was a great idea. a choice of 4 different curries as one. Their Naan Bread came out crisp and hot and tasty.

$ 50 per head. Horrible service the water taste like old melted ice from the service station. We ordered a banquet at 8:30pm and is now 10.11pm and we are still waiting. I walked up to the front asked if our food was coming and the manager was very aggressive and rude and said«yes sit down» the service was horrible and i felt very uncomfortable. 10.20pm we all decided to leave after waiting over a hour for our mains to come out 1⁄10 Our group was shocked in the service and attitude of the place and will never be coming back again.

This restaurant is now across the road from where it used to be. The new premises on the corner of Queen and The Parade is a fantastic location. The building is fantastic inside and out. The kitchen is totally hidden upstairs which I never like. Despite the location, no restaurant has ever survived here. Up until I did this review the old takeaway version of this business of the exact same name was 2.5 stars on the Unilocalometer which is about right as one of my friends said it was fantastic and two said it was pretty poor. Since moving to the new location one Unilocaler absolutely hated it on the grounds of service(which I found good but I was the only one there) and one loved it so on balance it looks like nothing has changed. Unfortunately they must have brought the same takeaway cook from across the road as the food was the worst Indian I’ve had. You always have to worry when you walk in near closing and you’re the only one there on a Sunday night and they tell you everything is available! The tandoori lamb(fatty lamb usually the safest thing you order) was like mushed peas so either they left it in marinating for a week by mistake(I got the old ones that got left in the bottom?!) and forgot it was in there or perhaps they dropped frozen pieces into boiling oil! Then the Dahl(this one was listed as lentils plus spinach) was like warm water with hardly any lentils and a skerrik of spinach I found stuck to the inside of the bowl. The vegetables were good. Ironically at the last Indian restaurant that just moved out of this location I had a very very bad experience so I’m thinking they hired their chef?! Ridiculously, had the food have been ok, this place would be five star as the service was great, good wine, ok prices, fantastic hands on manager, fantastic atmosphere etc. I should reiterate that I was the last person in on Sunday night. I’m sure if you order curry it will be fine but for me a hidden kitchen, the fact they clearly don’t serve fresh made food(with Indian foods it’s very easy to disguise it’s not fresh) and the horror experience I had with the previous owner I’ll stick with the other brilliant, clean tasty Asian restaurants on the parade: — Dannies Thai, Taste of Nepal and Rumi Palace.

Lovely setting and friendly staff; nice and warm. Lovely flavours — but goat curry mostly bone; would only serve 1 at best. Not good value at $ 25. Duck curry was faultless. Most likely not return in a hurry. Would rather go to Namaste(Nepalese) in Parkside — always excellent!

Just back from cinnamon club. It’s a cold Wednesday night in July and the place was packed. The restaurant emits a warm glow, the staff are welcoming and the décor friendly and colourful but in a very pleasant way. The food was wonderful, a delicious goat curry, a very hot vindaloo and a fragrant mild lamb with almond gravy. Very tasty, generous serves with delicious condiments. We used an entertainment book voucher, so all in all very very good.

Good ambience, but small tables which require juggling of food items to fit on the table. Close parking is a difficult to find in the evening. Our hostess to get the order was just plain terrible. Rude. Unhelpful. While ordering food we changed our mind for a dish — she tells us that she has already ordered and cannot change it now!!! She is still taking the order from us! I was ready to walk out then. My food was good — plain naan and Rajasthani chicken. My wife’s dish was terrible — Mysore masala dosa. It looked nothing like want it is meant to be(in our opinion). We asked our hostess who confirmed it was the dish we ordered, but could not tell us the difference between a standard masala dosa and a Mysore masala dosa. So much so. In any case, we finished our food. Paid our dues. It was relatively expensive. We would not be returning to the Cinnamon Club.

We had a booking for 7pm on Friday night and although the waitress was friendly we had poor service as they were understaffed. We waited ¾ hour to get a drink and over an hour and a half to get our meal. We even had to ask for just the pappadams and naan bread to perhaps be bought out first as we were starving! We had to continually ask for more water to be offered to the table too. People getting takeaway had better service as did groups of 4 who came in after us. Food was tasty but due to high noise level, slow and poor service we won’t be returning again!

Unfortunately tonight’s takeaway dinner just tasted like cheap takeaway & not the authentic experience I’d hoped for. Flavours tended to be too sweet and the ratio of sauce to meat was a bit too much in the sauce’s favour. However it was late on a Tuesday night(not a traditionally busy night) so perhaps next time will be better.

Unfortunately I know the meat comes straight out of the freezer as you can see the kitchen from the dining area. The other dishes were good but nothing new. I would expect better quality and less cluttered seating arrangements for an establishment so close to the parade.

Great meal. The service was wonderful, helpful, polite and friendly. The food was lovely in flavour and the menu was great and varied — able to try new things. The kids also had a great experience. Will definitely return for more.

Excellent new indian restaurant just off the Parade at Norwood. When we went there a few weeks ago they had only been open for 4 days. They are a little bit pricey but well worth it. Very good service.
