So Ill start by saying that im a tattoo artist so I am always in search of a good art store. I have been to the vic park store and also the north bridge store. however there are a few more jacksons stores throughout perth. I find they have a great range of art supplies. There prices are really good considering its all high end good quality stuff.(I have seen things in cheaper art shops of worse quality at higher prices). I generally buy watercolors, pencils and paper along with other various thing I need fron time to time. The staff are always friendly and helpfull and have a good knowledge of art supplies. If they are ever sold out of an item they will call the other stores for you or order things in for you. And are happy to do this. All in all im really happy with the service and supplies jacksons have to offer and would deffinatly recomend them(especially for some of those hard to find items you cant just buy from standard arts and craft stores)

Jacksons has supplies for artists of almost all persuasions. There’s brushes, canvases and a mind-boggling array of paper — until I went into Jacksons, I never knew how many types of paper were available. Some items, like the knives, look as though they can double as self-defence weapons, while other items are esoteric enough that the only people who could decipher their purpose are artists. The staff at Jacksons are also fairly knowledgeable about their products. For instance, one time myself and a friend were buying paper to use as a mount for some photos. One of the staff members informed us of the correct paper and adhesive to use, to ensure that the photo wouldn’t be slowly damaged. Jacksons is a great place if you are looking for art supplies, whether you’re a student, a professional or a hobbyist.

Jacksons is an elitist art store bursting with potential. When i walked into this space I was instantly in envy of «starving artists» who can indulge in such creative ventures with so many mediums at their disposal. Special paper, infused with flowers, feathers, decorative swirls and more greeted me at the door, along with 3 lucky skunk staff members.(3 guesses where their pay goes!) As del as an assortment of derwents, pastels, paints, lead pencils, water colours, acrylics and carving tools, there was even clay for pottery and sculpture up the back– this really is an artists one stop«get a discount card» shop! The price is high but isn’t everything of quality! Reasonable for what it is and very tempting– I will be back, with a discount card and a credit card.. . can i be trusted in here– definitely not– but who cares– you only live once.. .. this life!
