Just been for an amazing massage. Students practice. Because they’re learning they know where & when to apply pressure unlike some other massage places around Perth. Cheap too. Will definitely be back.

Last year i might have given this place 3 stars… and even then that was pushing it.
Central USED to be an institution where people from all socio-​economic backgrounds could come to learn and further their education for an affordable price… those days are over.
Central has embarrassingly raised their fees without changing or improving any resources, class rooms, desks etc. It’s honestly SHOCKING! I believe they are trying to compensate for their over spending (Hello over-​the-​top new library building!)
Central lacks resources and definitely lacks quality lecturers, to be perfectly honest I would recommend going to uni, the fees are basically the same. I am in the final year of my course and this year alone is going to cost me $ 7000, that is how much my boyfriend paid per year whilst at Curtin doing Engineering.
I also do not recommend this learning facility for international students, I believe, if possible, they should try to get into a University as well. The TAFE fees for internationals are around $ 12,000 and are most definitely not worth it.
Rumour has it that Central will become privatised within the next few years so don’t bother beginning a course here or you may get trapped into paying even more through a private college.
I’m so disappointed.

I have been coming to evening pottery classes here for about a year now and they are so much fun that I just keep signing up for the same class over and over again. You might know this place previously as Central TAFE and their reputation for their arts courses is excellent.
They offer a multitude of evening and short courses for the creatively minded as well as hands on day certifications. Their teachers are often ex-​students themselves who have gone on to become artistic professionals in their own right.
Short courses can run anywhere from a single day to 6 – 8 weeks in duration and generally cost around $ 200 — $ 250.00 total.

Formerly known as Central TAFE, Central Institute of Technology boasts a fantastic visual art program. Not only is the program immersive, with artists exposed to a variety of mediums, but artists are also exposed to the practicalities of becoming an artist. Part of the courses involve learning how to apply for grants, for instance — which can be very important for artists. Students are also given ample opportunities to exhibit their work, and the facilities available are top class.
Central TAFE is worth looking if you are interested in pursuing studies in visual arts.

After graduating from Edith Cowan University with a BA in Communications, I felt I still wanted to complete a little study in other fields, but without going too in-​depth, hence I researched many of the short courses at Central Institute of Technology.
Though ‘techy’ by name, this institution is more eclectic by nature. There are quality courses on offer in linguistics and design, and so far I have completed short stints in Illustration, Graphic Design, Conversational Spanish, and Conversational Japanese. Heck, it was here that I even learnt to touch-​type (although back when it was known as TAFE).
This year I hope to enrol in a Radio Broadcasting course. And if my application is approved, I promise I’ll turn these three stars into five, okay?
