I’m so happy I found this place. Everything I have ever had here has been wonderful. The portions are generous the food flavorful and the atmosphere relaxing and inviting. This is a safe bet for a good meal in Melbourne.

Decent food for the money. Relatively cheap, filling and tasty pizzas and pasta, alongside an extensive menu. The chicken parma is pretty damn big here aswell.

Living in North Melbourne, there aren’t a huge number of big, greasy restaurants to head to when you’ve got an equally huge hangover to feed. La Porchetta, down near the Queen Vic Market on Victoria St, is the best in my book, which is why it’s worthy of a mention. It’s large enough that you can cower in the corner with your r mates and order a massive quantity of pizza without feeling self-conscious — because that’s what La Porchetta is all about. Cheap, filling pizzas inside a bright, buzzing restaurant. I guess it’s very ‘chain store’ in that way(and this is a chain, albeit a local one) and you’ll find higher quality pizzas elsewhere, such as Oskar on Errol St, but for a quick stomach-filler you can’t go past a large Napolitana or ‘gourmet’ Sun-dried Tomato pizza — salty, cheesy and dense. Ooh yeah.
