This is a sleek and clean spot with tantalising Indian food. Good selection of drinks/wines and great service. Always has tempting aromas floating from it when you walk past it’s so hard to resist a meal here.

The quality of food is amazing here. No layer of oil left over in your meal, fantastic spice balance and tasty naan. Downside no cheese naan… Other downside they open at 11:30 for lunch 7 days a week, we arrive at 12 and they were still closed, we ring them and are told they will be there in another 15 – 20 minutes. I love Indian food and will be back even if there isn’t cheese naan. Now that is saying something for me

$ 10 lunch special — commonly found Indian dish with rice, can’t complain. We had quick service that was friendly and the food was quite nice. A large range of meal options are available and on Sundays only they have Indian street style food available, don’t see that often, I didn’t recognise any of the dish names so something different that other places don’t have. Also a good wine list to choose from with various beers, ciders and other drinks available. Give this place a go, you will be happy you did and the lunch special serving size is a standard plate, half the dish and half rice.

Being so close to my work, I have always *considered* Monsoon for dinner… and then promptly gone to an ol’ Melbourne St regular instead. After trying Monsoon a fortnight ago I have been back 3 times and have been hugely impressed with the array of dishes I’ve tried at each visit. Their Thali’s are well sized and tasty, and the Dosai’s are a cheap and filling traditional option. A good selection of vego options for the carnivorously challenged, and they are flexible with gluten and dairy free needs too. Reasonably priced and very friendly, attentive service, I’d recommend a street table on a nice night to watch the foolish people stomp down to a different restaurant! They seem to be perpetually open, too, which is a bonus!

There is just so much choice in Adelaide when it comes to Indian cuisine. I have been to Monsoon a few times now and have not been disappointed. The meals are slightly pricier than some other restaurants, however the quality of the food and the prompt service makes up for the difference. Serving sizes are perfect and don’t leave you feeling too bloated, providing you only order an entrée and main. It still bugs me that some places such as this continue to use unfiltered tap water, when it’s so easy to install a filter from a variety of vendors. Perhaps that’s just me being cheap though. Come here regularly enough and they slip you a 15% regular diner card which tonight knocked $ 10 off the price, which resulted in the meal being $ 27 per person — for a main, an entrée, basmati rice and naan bread. Not bad value! So curry(hurry) to Melbourne St and enjoy some quality Indian.

I’ve not eaten in, but I’ve had home delivery from this place several times(via Menulog) Rich and tasty Authentic Indian/Southern Indian food. I’ve not had much out of the menu other than some great tasting curries and the entrée pakoras and samosa. I love the Beetroot Lamb Shank Curry, it’s rich and tasty but not too hot. I must force myself to try something different next time

I like to go here with my herbivorous friend because they have a fantastic selection of vegetarian meals on the menu. Delicious pakoras and perfect samosas to always start the meal is my recommendation. Everything on the menu has an aromatic and authentic Indian taste. The range of homemade cheeses are extensive and brilliant. The dumpling will make you believe again. Trust me.

This has some imaginative Indian dishes and the southern Indian menu is particularly interesting. The Masala Dosa, a traditional rice flour and lentil flour pancake, filled with zeera aloo(cumin and potatoes), onions peas and fresh coriander is just one example of good southern Indian Indian fare. You can tell breads are made on the premises because they taste so fresh. The Punjabi Parantha naan, stuffed with potatoes peas and coriander, is really good. The menu also caters for vegan, gluten-free and nut-free diets, and staff are happy to meet any other dietary requirements. The staff are quite accommodating and nice. The wine list is OK, but the restaurant also offers BYO as an option, with a corkage charge of $ 10.50.
