The coolest Sunday sesh I’ve found so far. Wood fire pizza and live music. No drink specials though.

I’ve tried to like Nobbys Arc, I really have but honestly, the vibe here sucks. It is hailed by Gold Coast hipsters as «the» place to hang so(depending on the evening you go, Sunday is by far the worst) the atmosphere is pretentious and slightly aggressive. The drinks are reasonably priced and the food is meant to be pretty good but the crowd just ruins it for me. It is also extremely stuffy inside as there are no windows and the air conditioning sucks plus it is really noisy. It could be okay to stop in for lunch or maybe a weeknight snack but I recommend going somewhere more friendly and less snobby.

Went here on a Wednesday night to meet family for dinner. We were a party of 4 and were served quite promptly and service was good overall! We ordered some share plates to start including the beetroot bruschetta, calamari and sweet potato fries. All share plates were delicious! We then ordered some mains pesto chicken pizza, pork belly pizza and some of our party ordered the salmon from next door as it is the same owners. The pizzas were ok, the pesto chicken was lacking in flavour while the pork belly had plenty of flavour it didn’t really taste like what I would think a pork belly pizza would taste like. Overall it was a good location and decent meal I wouldn’t rush back however if I was looking for something in the area I would return!

Had a reservation and had to wait for them to clear and reset the table as people were already sitting there. Then we were constantly asked if we were ready to order even after telling them we were still waiting for people. Then when we were ready to order it was impossible to flag down any staff, and took an age to clear the table.0 They brought out what we thought was complimentary bread as we did not order any starters but we were still charged for it. The food itself is great, everyone’s meals looked and smelt amazing. Drinks are reasonable. This place suffers from typical Gold Coast poor hospitality service. If you’re busy put more staff on; and I have nothing against back to back booking I used to do them myself when I worked in the industry but the standard rule it allow a 30 minute gap between bookings and to let people know there is another booking and that they need to leave by x time, it is not rocket science. And a smile wouldn’t hurt either.
