Can’t believe how rude the staff are. Or one dude in particular. Went in just now to find a septum ring and a guy that works there had this vibe that I had ruined his day just by walking into the store when my friend and I were so quiet and polite. Walked straight out without buying anything as soon as I was hit by his unbelievable negative attitude. You should be selling your business, not deterring paying customers.

There’s a couple of tattoo and piercing covered folks outside the front of Industrial Strength having a smoke. It must be break time. As I entered the store with my wife in tow, she gets excited with all the assorted piercing accessories for various parts of the body. She insists on getting a nose ring today, mentioning it’ll be her fourth attempt to keep it in. Apart from piercing, plugs and dermal jewellery, they also offer rings, necklaces and punk and rockabilly style clothing which are right at the very back of the store. A young lady who was one of the folks outside smoking came back inside and was friendly enough to ask us if we needed any help. My wife asks about nose piercings and we are shown a range of studs and rings. She wants a ring. «Cool», the lady replied and did a quick measure to see which size ring would suit my wife’s nose best. Next she gave my wife a questionnaire form to fill out, which is standard when getting a piercing done. Payment was done first, $ 60 for the steel ring and the piercing. The lady mentions the guy next to her that’s talking on the phone would be the piercer and that it would be done upstairs where the Tattoo parlour that’s attached to store was. So we head on up and wait. And wait. It was about 20−30mins before the guy shows up. He gives a short apology before giving instructions on the procedure. All the piercing instruments are sterile and you get the feeling this guy really knows what he’s doing. When my wife came out, she said it all went ok except the fact the guy wasn’t as friendly as the lady downstairs. All in all, the guys here know their stuff, so if you can handle a bit of pain and a little attitude you know where to head to.
