Avoid using this realty company like the plague. I moved into an apartment and was told it would be clean when I moved in. I couldn’t live there for 3 days my first week because the apartment was infested with cockroaches, the carpet was filthy covered in hair and stains, there were tiles falling off from the bathroom and kitchen, the floor in the kitchen was coming completely apart, etc. I saw the place on an inspection and walking around for 10 minutes it seemed fine, but when I finally moved in I realized I was lied to when they said the place would be in ‘clean, livable’ condition. After I finally had a carpet cleaner, pest guy, and repair man over 3 days come fix the place up, I could finally move all my stuff in. And when I spoke to the head woman Christine, she said they wouldn’t refund me ANY of my rent which I paid in advance, even though I couldn’t move in due to an infestation. While living there, I couldn’t sleep a wink because every time the planes were overhead the windows would start vibrating and the walls would shake. Whenever I tried to relax in the bathtub, I couldn’t because after filling the tub one third of the way, the water ran ice cold and I needed to wait 45 – 60 minutes for it to be warm again. Additionally, the cheap plastic floor tiling they put down in the kitchen was all bubbling and coming off the floor that I was starting to feel like I was living in some weird FunHouse(but there was no actual fun involved). The Worst part was that when I moved out they tried to blame me for the bad state of the carpet and they withheld my bond! In fact, to put me over-the-edge mad, the senior property manager Joe Melfi had the brazen audacity to claim the carpet was«new» when we moved in. Puh-lease, that carpet might have been new 15 years ago, the stains, tears, and smell were a tell-tale sign of it’s age and years of wear. He said the ‘carpet damage’ would cost us $ 651.36 and he claimed we owed $ 868.64 in back-rent(which was untrue) so he completely withheld $ 1,520 — which is coincidentally the EXACT amount we paid in bond. Very VERY Fishy. Beware, this place is a dreadful business.
