This was my 2nd visit to this fantastic family owned greek restaurant :) Went for the first mid last year with a friend and the food was superb and the waiter who looked like one of the sons was very cheerful to banter and have a chuckle with same with the mum, she was very kind and sweet to talk to. Recommended my sister to have her birthday dinner here and as soon as she made the booking she was convinced that she made the right choice :) Both my parents, sister, her BF and myself went here on the sunday :). We were all starving so we order an entrée each which ended up being to much food in the end but we didn’t have that on our mind until it was all gobbled up lol !! Got 2 euro plates(haloumi cheese, chorizo and olives), garlic pita which was cut up in rolls :), 3 famous greek dips(we all know it as white, pink and olive), and of coyrse octopus.. haven’t had such good tasting octupus ever :)!!! Mains we had chicken and lamb souvlaki with salad, slow cooked lamb with potoato and salad, slow cooked lamb on pasta and greek meat burgers :)! Everyone was more than pleased with the food especially my mum who kept remindingthe waiter how fantastic the food was lol! I’ve almost tried everything on the menu now :)!! All the dishes were perfection :)!! If I’m eating Greek in Newtown/Enmore I’m not eating anywhere else but here :)!!! Big Opppppaaaa for amazing tasting Greek food: D!!!

Round 2 for feasting at 3 Olives Greek Restaurant. This time it was with the whole family for our eldest’s 18th birthday dinner. It was a very rainy day, a car that decided to sort of, kinda break down, trains out of service and a three hour trip but oh man was it worth it. We would travel in from Bathurst to feast at 3 Olives. No exaggeration. Like last year, we were greeted as if we just walked into their home as their house guests. And it’s always excellent when staff remember you from the previous year. A quick chat and I pointed out who the birthday girl was. Our eldest who I dined at 3 Olives last year. Our meals were divine of course. If there was a lesson to learn, it was that we could have easily ordered four mains and shared them just as we could have ordered three or four entrees and shared them as the portions are generations and very tasty. After a discreet chat with Louis about dessert, he gave suggestions for dessert and I went with their wish to provide a mixed selection with candles. All of a sudden it was lights out, everybody stops eating thinking that there was a power shortage and Louis came out with a plate of dessert and lit candles as he started singing Happy Birthday with an incredible singing voice. It seemed like all the diners in the restaurant joined in with clapping, making it felt even more like a large family event. It was such an excellent night and no amount of dying car, out of order trains or pouring rain could ever put a dampener on the evening. Another fantastic feast at 3 Olives at Newtown. I award them 20 stars out of 5.

Excellent, authentic Greek cuisine in a great atmosphere with top notch, very efficient service. We ordered pita bread entrée which was lightly toasted and drizzled with olive oil & oregano. For the mains we ordered a barramundi dinner plate and a generous serving of kalimari. The seafood was tender and just a little crispy in just the right way. We got a greek salad and chips with each plate. The serving sizes were generous, the restaurant was busy and the staff showed great overall teamwork in looking after all the customers. Prices on par. I have no complaints, I’d highly recommend to anyone who enjoys Greek cuisine. They are open Wed-Sun for dinner and lunch on Sunday. Closed Mon & Tues.

Its a family owned restaurant in Newtown offering Mediterranean cuisine. All I can say is I was pleasantly surprised. I went there without expecting much and to my utter surprise turned out to be an excellent place, both in terms of quality and quantity. I was wondering why I hadn’t tried this place before? I am really not sure. Anyhow the food was delicious and wow what value ! The meat platter was exceptional and was a lot of food for two people. The food is home style and I am sure a lot of Greeks would be reminded of their mum’s cooking after eating here. What more can I say . The owners take great pride in their food and is very evident in their service. Lamb Souvlaki was excellent and Baclava was fantastic too.
