This is a decent sized newsagent. It has a good three rows of magazines and newspapers — some freighted in from overseas (think US Vanity Fair and Vogue). Lottery, a comprehensive range of gift cards, ribbons, stationary, journals and party decorations this is a pretty standards newsagents. Except for a few quirky gifts. One was a journal with a satirical scribblings and quotes about being a parent; another about an insomniac. The other gift I ended up buying was some white measuring spoons (and measuring cups) in the design of matryoshka dolls (Russian nesting dolls — the set of wooden, usually colourful dolls placed in side one another). I like it when an ordinary generic kind of shop is made ever so unique by a few quirky display type items. Makes me go back to see what they’ll have next month.
Staff is somewhat underwhelmed but helpful enough.
