Haven’t been here for a while — I used to love their chai latte. It tasted like sugar water, sprinkled with chai spice. Service was fast & efficient.

I came to Dome for lunch on my way back to Perth after spending the morning at the beach. I felt like something light and healthy, and it didn’t take long to choose the vegetarian baguette. We waited around 10 minutes for our order, but made the most of their free wifi. My baguette was one of the biggest sandwiches I’d ever seen! The bread was toasted and seemed like a Turkish-style bread. The filling contained fresh vegetables and mustard mayonnaise, with a tomato chutney on the side. For $ 10.95 I felt it was great value for money. My dining companions had a steak sandwich(also greatly portioned), chicken strips(moist and crunchy) and fries(crisp and delicious). It definitely was one of the better dining experiences I’ve had at the many Domes around Perth!

I’m sure most people have been to a Dome, and have appreciated their large breakfasts, various comfort foods and their good coffee. Dome on Hampden Road was my saviour when I just need a large and filling meal; my personal favourites would have to be their chicken(now minus the chicken for me), cheese and avocado focaccia with their amazing tomato salsa/relish on the side which just has the right amount of sweet and tang or their Tuscan pizza with all ingredients a reminder of the Italian genius(minus the salami for me). For drinks if I am looking for something to ease my sweet tooth I will either go for their soy chai latte or if I am extra indulgent I will have one of their Espreski — a mix of chocolate ice coffee with real pieces of chocolate(you can choose from a wide range) I usually go for the squashed frog without the cream, as it is already very filling and the cream just makes it way too much. If you are going to order an Espreski I suggest not getting anything too big to eat because this is a meal on its own. The Dome is always a busy place which is a good indication that people come here and stay here for a reason, the food is always tasty and service always swift and its a good place to catch up for a coffee.
