I have been to the Rebel Sport in Myaree twice now and both times have been blown away by stellar service. It is SO good that I raved about it as soon as I came home. I did get the feeling that they may work on commission but however it may come to be, I am definitely a Rebel Sport fan. My first trip was a 20-minute window, as I arrived right before the closing. I was hoping to score on their buy-one, get-one half off. I already knew what Swain wanted but had no idea for me. The young(shorter) man knew I was in a bit of a time crunch to try/test shoes. So I told him what I was after — lightweight, great for plyo/cross fit style, and over-pronate. He suggested Mizuno and I(internally) sneered. I had never heard of this brand and the design looked quite different from the other bolder shoes like Nike. While he was giving me the 411 on Mizuno, I tried them on and fell in love. I called Swain on my way home and asked if he had ever heard of Mizuno which he hadn’t either and he use to work in a sport shop back in the day. He looked them up on Amazon and got 4.5 stars out of 700+ reviews. Wow… I landed on a gold mine! I did realize that I grabbed last year’s model of Mizuno’s and I wanted to ensure there wasn’t another pair better suited for me. I spent almost an hour with another(taller) young man that assisted me time and time again. I probably would have upgraded or gone with another style of Mizuno’s had it not been for the horrendous color options and lack of sizes. I know this is no fault of Rebel’s but a cornflower blue sneaker with accents of red and yellow is a downright no-no in my mind. I am a child of the 80’s and I refuse to make previous fashion fails. Also, is it impossible to find women sneakers in more metrosexual colors? Pink, purple or teal… seriously… I’m 10 all over. Ick. 5-stars for service. 5-stars for killer deal. I would love to see more Mizuno options in the future — specifically in styles, sizes and colors! I also personally feel that stores need to start offering flexible exchange programs. How are people suppose to know if it is right for them without being able to try them out? Fingers-crossed these shoes are right for me, but I won’t officially know until I test-run in them which makes them nonreturnable.

Really fantastic service here! I went in search of gym shoes, and not really knowing a whole lot about shoes other than aesthetics, I was a little lost — especially given how big Rebel Sports is. I must have looked a little lost with a few boxes of shoes next to me, and a staff member came over, asked what I was looking for and if I needed any help. He spent about 20 minutes with me, sized me up correctly(turns out I can fit into either ladies or kids shoes…) and then called a few other stores for me when the shoe I finally decided on wasn’t in stock in my size. The store itself is quite big, and has a very big range of sporting equipment and clothing — pretty reasonable pricing as well, and they have sales pretty frequently. Parking is a bit limited as there are a few other stores around — and getting out of the car park and back onto Leach Hwy is a NIGHTMARE, and your only choice is to turn left. The store itself and the staff are great though!
