Got a new house with really plain walls? Need something to improve the atmosphere, or just generally make your living room feel a bit more pleasant?
I’ve been in that situation quite a bit over the last few years. Being a renter, and always looking for a cheaper place to live, I’ve gotten quite good at making a crappy house feel a bit more comfortable, and for me, one of the things that I need to do is to put a few pictures up on the walls.
I’ve found Picture Corner to be a pretty safe bet. My last purchase was a very old-​school advertisement that is framed very nicely.
If you’re gift-​shopping, I can think of worse places you could go and get a very thoughtful and nice gift. They also sell cards and a few odds and ends.

Squeezed into the corner next to K-​Mart is Picture Corner. They have a huge selection of framed prints, paintings and photos.
The also offer framing for that perfect photo you must hang on the wall. I haven’t used their framing service, but the prices seem reasonable in comparison to what I have paid elsewhere. The frames are made using great quality wood, and are sturdy. They are not flimsy and cheap looking like many cheaper frames are. I have purchased several prints from this store, which now hang proudly on my wall.
I have had no dramas with anything brought from this store.
