Although this Mitre 10 has been around for a long time, I think the problem here is that the shop is in dire need of an upgrade. With shows like The Block heavily supporting this place, business really should be booming. But with Bunnings around every corner, it is easy to see why they are struggling. The Mitre 10 at Mt Ommaney has a pretty small and funny looking garden area with a shed area looking just as daggy. The plants look wilted most of the time because they’re in the sun and the sheds look used for some reason even though they’re new. The shop inside is very dark, it’s damp feeling and the shelves are put way too close together. What I will say about this shop though, is that the paint section are the best paint section I have been to for a while. The guys there are both helpful and friendly, and will go out of their way to shake up your paint for you free of charge. They stock a pretty good range of paint and the guys here will tell you the differences and give you an education about the types of paint and where to use them if need be. Awesome. They do stock quite a lot of stuff here, and many tradesmen in the area go here for their supplies. But the fact is, the prices are higher than that of Bunnings and the range is less.
