Decent cafes are hard to find in the burbs (Notice the absence of franchise coffee chains from my interpretation of decent cafes) so it was refreshing to find Grumpys within an easy walk of a recent Xmas house sitting holiday in Moorooka. Grumpys is both child and pet friendly with a small play area for the kids and a big bucket of water for fido. Staff were very friendly and the speed of service was good. Unfortunately we didn’t get to sample the food offerings however the coffees were quite good. Genovese is the bean of choice and they have loyalty cards for regulars. On my second visit I ordered a large takeaway FW expecting a 12 oz cup and thought that $ 4.70 wS a bit rude — turns out their large is a whopping 16oz (about 455ml).
