The staff here are friendly and know their DVDs new and old. They specialize in rare and hard to find DVDs(their slogan). Make sure you have the ability to play different region DVDs or check with the staff as some of the disks are imported.

I really like this place. It is simply a room full of many many DVDs. The lack of pretend eat bring anything else means that the DVDs are very reasonably priced. What sets it apart from competitors is, in my mind, the foreign language section. I keep going back and buying more of the movies I simply can’t find anywhere else.

I’d walked past DVD Collection hundreds of times before I ever went in. This is because it looks so, well, tacky from the outside. I know it SAYS that it has lots of imports, but it looks like the kind of shop that stocks all those $ 2 made-for-tv shockers that you only ever watch if you’re… actually, that you just never watch. Pleasantly surprised, then, to discover that the reason the place looks shabby is because the money goes on importing rare editions from all over the world. This is the sort of place that you only go to if you actually care about owning the US and JApanese releases of whatever it is you’re into. I’m not that sort of person(if I find the time to sit down and watch a movie, I really don’t care all that much where it’s from), but my friends are and I’ve since found some good birthday presents.

A great place to find: — Yet to be released movies in Australia. — Hong Kong action films — Japanese animes you won’t find in typical DVD stores — UFC dvds, WWE dvds and other lesser known sports Things you should know when coming here: — Most, if not all, dvds are US region coded so make sure you have all-region dvd player — Dvds can be a little pricey — There’s a curtain at the back which conceals some saucy adult dvds, if you’re into that sort of thing
