Had the chicken schnitzel with chips. Both were excellent, the amount of food you get for the price is a great value! I was surprised though that they do not have pork schnitzel. Staff great, food great, I highly recommend.

Kind of a hit and miss. Either dry, greasy or well done. However, still a better take away fast food option than other places in the area. Always packed too.

Schnitz is probably one of the best fast food restaurant /burger I’ve ever had. Their meats are 100% real, in case anyone of you are concern about extremely unhealthy junkie food. They have quite varieties of menu with an option for Special changes and adds on. Which of course adds on to the place. Most of the burgers there are well made and always tasty. The one that I’m addicted to is the chips! Oh my god, best chips in the world! I always get the large or super size because small is simply not enough. They’re big but not chunky like KFC and very crispy and thin just like maccas chips. On top of that the chicken salt is just amazing and rich. It does get a little too salty at times but oh well it’s delicious. The small chips are only 3.50, so it’s worth to try if you’re curious. 4.50 for large and 5.50 for super! The only sad thing about this place is that, because it’s so popular, the small place just probably won’t be able to provide dine in if you’re a group of people. But if you’re lucky the place actually isn’t too bad to have in. I found the single seats are a bit sad looking. But netherless, Schnitz is definitely a recommended place to try in Melbourne!

Never thought I’d find chips better than Grill’d but Schnitz has actually topped them! Not to mention that their schnitzel menu is huge and oh so delicious. I had the Parmageddon in a wrap which was made quickly but was still made with care. I forgot to ask for no mushrooms but even still I enjoyed it which means the rest was so good it made up for it. Will definitely be going back to try other menu items, the hardest part is choosing which one. Also makes for a good hangover cure!

Loved it! Had the plain and simple with fish. Very tasty wrap with a nice balance of veggies and cheese. The fish was well cooked and the bread crumb batter gave it some crunch. I will definitely be going back for another…

Went here just expecting usual fast food take away slapped together sort of fare. I got served fast but this was done with care and was oh so filling. I had the protein packed roll that consisted of 2 chicken schnitzels, rocket lettuce, avocado and ranch sauce. A meal in itself. Then with my partner we got the largest side of fries that I could have jumped into and bathed myself in. All cooked fresh with care presented impeccable and cooked to perfection. In most food courts but this particular was a walk up in an entertainment precinct and it didn’t fail to disappoint. Need my Schnitz fix and soon and no matter what Schnitz I have been to the service has been the same and excellent.

I really must seek help for my schnitz addiction! It seems that during my work week I am always looking for excuses to get myself down to Elizabeth St to have Schnitz for lunch. I always go the pure and simple wrap with a side of fries… mmmm. yum! The thing I love about the place(aside from the Schnitz of course) is the PINKLEMONADE. Please dont laugh at me other Unilocalers!

We came across this place quite by chance. The aroma was drawing is in. We we glad we followed our noses. Our stomachs we not disappointed either. Such a wonderful selection of schnitzels to chose from. I asked if I could mine free of salad too, no problem I was informed. Although it was quite crowded, we glad we waited our turn. Hope they wander across this side of the ditch at some point too.

Don’t be afraid to head to Schnitz if quite a line has formed. Not only is the line testament to how tasty it is, but you’re going to need that time queuing up just to work out what you’re going to eat. There are so many choices here. Type of schnitzel(including vegetarian), crumbed or not, salad/toppings, wrap or roll. I’ve never been disappointed with my selection, be it a healthy(sounding) salad-y wrap or a cheesy gooey meaty making me fat roll. So take your time, don’t mind the wait and make sure you order chips. They’re rather amazing. Oh, and if the food court is quite busy there are a lot of tables tucked away next to and behind Schnitz that have been almost empty every time I’ve eaten here.

Very cool concept. I wish I could have tried more of the dishes here. Great fries(chips)! I wish Germanic fast food would take off in the US because I’d be all over it!

I got sick of my co workers walking back in the door with these amazing smelling chips and burgers. Since I’m not a fan of too much fried food, I was pretty reluctant to give this a go. And then there were the queues. Wowzers, popular much? So, off I went at midday and beat the queues. And was greeted by a wonderful world of options. You are thinking, it’s a schnitzel, what could they do with that. Oh my, just wait. Not only is there about 20 different choices of schnitz in a roll/wrap but also salad. Then to crumb or not to crumb. There’s another 4 choices there alone. That means the menu extends out to 80 choices without even considering the type of roll /wrap ect what you do. I don’t think I can articulate how delicious this is, but it’s really freaking good for fast /reasonably healthyish(I get the Moroccan grilled no crumb fillet on a wrap) food. This office has also been known to get the chips on a Friday afternoon to have with beers. OHYES. Enough of my rambling, RUN. Totally worth the lines.

Taking the place of the Edelweiss Café and Wine Bar is Schnitz — Pan cooked schnitzels! Just arrived the first week of March, and every time we’ve walked by, it’s packed. We decided to give it a shot tonight and we were definitely impressed. The staff is still finding their way around the menu and process, but the ingredients were FRESH and plentiful, the flavour fantastic, and from out point of view, it was excellent value for money. There’s FAR more to choose from than you might expect if you’ve never visited a Schnitz before, so you’ll want to stand back from the menu and take it all in for a moment. Choose your roll, your meat(or not) and various combinations of toppings… maybe a salad or some chips, a drink, and you’re good to go. From our point of view: We’ll be Unilocaling a LOT more from here and likely not very much from Nando’s again in the future…
