The worst nachos I had here, they don’t have more option like MADMEX and Guzman Y Gomez, felt like eating shit, I will not recommend to anyone

Again my review here isn’t necessarily for this stall but to the brand as a whole. there are a lot of mexican fast food competitors. I have tried most and i order the same thing at all of them; a pork burrito. This like Mad Mex is… Meh! pretty average. The French fries are good though.

Well I love me some Mexican, yes yes this is a fast food chain and there is better real Mexican elsewhere BUT as far as food chains go I love me some salsa’s! I find their flavours mouth popping! YES! Pulled pork, with pineapple and mango salsa taco? The chicken fajitas burrito is finger licking good with flavours that I just don’t even remember right now due to thinking about the tasty goodness. Yes it is slightly pricey BUT $ 2 Taco Tuesday anyone? Need I say more? Soft taco’s, hard tacos whatever kind of taco you want. I also hear that some salsa’s do a $ 5 burrito Friday.

Mediocre — just chain fast food. Overcooked beef in the burrito, undercooked soggy chips — OK seasoning but nothing can make up for a chip that isn’t cooked properly. Anyway it’s gone now following Australia-on-Collins redevelopment commencing May 2014. Perhaps it will be back, perhaps a new franchisee could shake things up a bit but it certainly seemed like the people making the food were not that interested.

So disappointed. The chicken chiptole burrito sounded like a lovely taste explosion, but was rice with a scattering of chicken and a couple of beans. Won’t be back when we’ve got so many great fast mexican places.

One word to describe this … meh. The burrito’s are just not great. I’m sure this place will always be popular, as we all know burritos are delicious, but this place is just too ‘chain-y’ and they don’t really care at all about the food and it just doesn’t taste amazing. I guess if you were REALLY craving Mexican and there was nothing else, it would be OK, but that’s about it.

Worst meal ever! Shocking service, terrible food, small portions yet expensive for what you get. Avoid at all costs!

Australia on Collins is like a fancier Melbourne Central, more Collins st appropriate. Even their food court is nicer, no sight of a McDonalds or KFC, predominantly sandwich/salad/juice/indian/asian eateries… and SALSAS! I have visited Salsa’s for many a hangover. Nothing seems to be more desirable to me than a beef or chicken burrito with a side of crinkle cut chips when my head is pounding. I know its only a take away café/restaurant but the food is gooood and one of the few cheapish mexican lunch places in the CBD. The Baja beef wrap is stuffed with salsa, jalapenos, rice, tomato and guacamole and is delicious. There is also the ‘Machos Nachos’ crinkle cut chips topped with mince, salsa and cheese. Kind of heart stoppingly amazing. Meals are around $ 11, including drink and is one of the busier cafes during lunch hour.
