Very bad! The sushi is disgusting. The fried rice is horrible. I regret eating in this restaurant.

I know food courts are normally reserved for for mums that have bribed there kids into keeping quiet whilst doing the weekly shopping(for me it was a meal at Holly’s located within all Kmart stores). But sometimes your running ten minutes late for your next meeting, it’s mid afternoon and you’ve skipped lunch. You’d eat that slightly ify orange that has been in you bag for the past week. It’s pre-cooked food court fair or a vending machine. O-Bento offers a fairly wide range of pre-made, ready to go(get in my gob now) meals. For me though, I can’t go pass the gyoza. It’s about six bucks for six. And a cup of miso for a few bucks. The gyoza always taste fresh(though who really knows?). Always get the sauce and if you’re a chilli freak, slather it on. While the miso is by far not as good as other places I don’t care, I love the stuff so even if it were bad I’d still like it. When ever I feel a cold coming on, a cup(and they are big) of this is better than a flu shot. All in all, if your hungry, in the area, no time to waste, head down. (They do also cook to order — but who has the time?).

Located on the 2nd floor of Melbourne Central in the food court. I love this place! Customer Service: The service was a bit rushed, but they weren’t explicitly rude or anything like that so it’s not a big deal. The food came out FAST so it is definitely safe for a grab-and-go or just a quick sit-down meal. If you’re in a rush to catch a train or something but you’re very hungry, O-Bento will have you covered! Food: I ordered Ebi Don, which is a shrimp, egg, and soy sauce over rice(pictures included). It was absolutely delicious! I tried the Ebi Don over at Menya before and there was really no comparison — O-Bento is much more delicious. The food was fresh and hot, the egg was soft, and the shrimp incredible. NOTES: ~ Because it’s located at the food court, there’s plenty of seating available. ~ DEFINITELY grab-and-go safe! ~ They have ready-made sushi up front that you can pick up and pay for as well as rice and ramen dishes made-to-order so you will probably find something you like here if you’re at all into Japanese food. Overall, this definitely isn’t a snazzy place or anything like that. But I am definitely a fan of the delicious food and quick service and probably will make it my go-to spot for lunch next time I’m in Melbourne Central.
