This little establishment on Sutherland is a serious contender for the best ice cream in Melbourne. Using the liquid nitrogen to make ‘fresh’ ice cream, I was quickly wowed by the various equipment he used. The ice cream menu changes now and then, recommend the N2 Tella and Easy malteasy. The extravagant use of chocolate is satisfying and most flavours costs 9 bucks and below. A little pricey some to say, but worth every buck I’d say.

Tucked away down a dark and dirty alley is this shining beacon of ice cream wizardry. The menu is small, but distinguished, and features a few vegan options that are clearly labeled. Watching the staff conjure up their delights using liquid nitrogen and flames is like watching a delicious science experiment that is too good to eat. Everything is under $ 10, the only thing I wish for would be some seating of some kind. If you crave something sweet, definitely check it out.

After dinner, we thought we pop by Sutherland lane (its probably 9pm at this time) and all the other stores around N2 are not shut. They have a small selection of ice cream to choose from and we went for the milo mofo but its not as milo as I thought it would be. I expect to be overdose on milo but that wasn’t the case.
My friend was definitely impressed with all the nitrogen and syringe in the ice cream. for $ 9, it may be a little overpriced, but alrite once in a while.

Watching the lab geniuses at N2 make their signature nitrogen gelato is a whole lot of fun– eating the creative little tubs of frozen delight is even better.
They come up with new cool flavours every week. All are beautifully presented and will set you back 8 – 12 dollars.
My chocolate and caramel with a crackly crime brûlée top was delicious. The chocolate was rich with generous slithers of caramel throughout. The blow-​torched brûlée top was fun to crack with my spoon and gorgeously caramelised.
I didn’t encounter a line while I was at this N2 gelato campus, which was awesome– my adventures to the Fitzroy N2 always places me in a queue!
The next flavour that I want to try is the Kat on Kush– a matcha and white chocolate and wafer combo.
This yummy gelato treat was the best thing I could have eaten on a hot day, but I would eat it in the middle of winter too!

This is my first visit to an N2 Extreme Gelato store and I found it impressive to watch them make. As a scientist myself who actually uses liquid nitrogen at work, I found it pretty cool. They have s small selection (around 6) items to choose from and my ice cream was $ 9. The gelato was smooth and delicious! The fact it is about 1min away from where we are staying in Melbourne could be dangerous for me and my waistband!
