Muji is one of my all time favourite stores. The simplicity of their products is relaxing, and the entire store is organised and minimalistic which adds to the whole vibe of the store. They have everything from coat hangers to face cleansers and essential oils. My whole apartment is decked out with Muji products, especially the acrylic organisers which are so helpful but also calming in a way because it’s so minimal and you can see everything you have. Long story short, if you’re a minimalist or love to organise things or you like neutral unbranded quality things Muji is definitely a store you’d love.

If you love Ikea and all things Japanese, then Muji will be heaven for you! Neatly organised, minimalist design and simply packaged, Muji offers everything from stationery, mens, womens and kids clothes, homewear and toiletries. If only it offered Japanese sweet treats– now that would be a hit! It’s all about getting back to basics at reasonable prices. I like their no brand strategy which lowers the cost of advertising and marketing and encourages the cosumer to make it unique and individual. I could have gone crazy on cute little notebooks, pens and travel kit toiletries but a girl’s gotta eat! Can’t wait to raid this place when I have more money!

You either get this place or not. High quality, simple, unbranded. The stuff is just good. My favorite jeans, my favorite notebook. Solid joint.

MUJI is amazing. It’s probably part of the reason I couldn’t save any money when I lived in Japan. Well-made products in a very modern Zen style that the Japanese pull off so well. I am always tempted to fill up my closet with MUJI wear, but then I remember that I have an ample bosom and love bright colors. Not the best combination for MUJI’s linear design. I’ll stick to Uniqlo for my Japanese clothes, but as far as accessories, homewares, furniture, stationery, and cosmetics go: TAKEALLMYMONEY! The Emporium shop is a nice introduction to the MUJI lifestyle brand. I have MUJI products in my house that I bought overseas 5 or 6 years ago and it has all held up really well. I love their stationey because it’s all a blank canvas to decorate how you will: stamp it, put stickers all over it, or doodle with one of their handy writing utensils. It’s up to you. You can even decorate a canvas bag or notebook before you leave the store. The cosmetics are simple and clean with no crazy claims or flashy labels. Hella zen. They work and that’s what you want. If I could, I would totally deck out my house in comfy MUJI linens and homewares. It’s such simple luxury that isn’t actually ridiculously expensive. I actually wouldn’t mind if my house looked like a MUJI catalog, it’s a stark contrast to the Laura Ashley shop next door. They have a great ethos and a simple concept. MUJI is great.
