This is just a great find. In Chinatown in Melbourne, its casual with great food. The Keow Teow noodles are a personal favorite but really everything I’ve ever tried here is good. In an ‘alley’street off Little Bourke, its not too hard to find and well worth a visit.

I’m currently working my way through as many Melbourne Malaysian restaurants as I can. I’ve eaten here many years ago with a big group and the food wasn’t too bad. This time round, I was dining solo. I ordered a plain roti, a sambal fish, coconut rice and a sago pudding to finish. The roti and coconut rice was yummy. Unfortunately the sambal fish wasn’t what I was used to from Singapore and Malaysia — I suggest leaving it and ordering one of the curries. The sago pudding wasn’t too bad although the gula malaka was a bit bitter. Service was fast and friendly.

Great old-school Malaysian right in the centre of Melbourne. Can’t go past their roti with chicken curry, sambal fish and kan kong!

Superb roti — expertly made, served piping hot. Seafood laksa was tasty and fresh, with a generous amount of seafood. While marked as spicy, the dish is fairly mild, would’ve liked it spicier. Great service, pleasant staff in this simple café tucked away on Liverpool.

It’s always a delight to dine at Little Malaysia! I highly recommend everyone to try the Roti Bread, especially with the Lamb Curry dish.
