You can’t really fault Issara Thai — it does its job as a cheap yet yummy lunch takeaway in the CBD. And when I say cheap, I definitely do mean cheap. Expect a lunch for 5 — 7 dollars a pop. Customer Service: Not bad at all. They are efficient, since it is technically just a small takeaway. The friendly service is a hit or miss though — everyone’s polite, but not necessarily welcoming. Food: Issara Thai serves up their lunches in bento boxes which truth be told really surprised me seeing as how bento boxes are Japanese-style lunches. However, this obviously isn’t necessarily a bad thing. You end up getting a great variety of food and for some strange reason I love compartmentalised food — yes airplane food, come at me! There’s plenty of things on offer at Issara Thai — curry, rice, etc. Sometimes served with a little egg net on top(which actually looks strangely cute). — There’s nothing out of this world about the food at Issara Thai, but a filling and decent lunch for 5 — 7 dollars? No one can say no to that.
