We had a girls night here on a Friday night and overall, I quite liked the place. There’s an outdoor seating area which is pretty cosy(even if it’s not a super warm night), the menu is interesting and I enjoyed the food. We had a booking but the place wasn’t really that busy — they have happy hour from 5−7pm so I think the place had emptied out after that. The menu has a section called«The Bucket List» which is a bit weird, everything is sold in grams(e.g. you can choose between a 150g or 300g portion) and you feel a bit like you need to order a few things to build up a whole meal. I went for the lemon butter prawns(300g) as well as some Asian slaw. The food arrived but not quite at the same time so there was a little bit of an awkward wait but nothing too dramatic. My prawns arrived as a 150g portion as there’d been a mix up but another 150g arrived not long after which was good. Overall, I really liked the prawns — perfectly cooked, nice and juicy and lots of the cooking sauce to dip bread into. The Asian slaw was ok — it was definitely missing something to make it remarkable. Service was a little mixed and there seemed to be a weird dynamic going on between our waitress and the manager — I’m not sure if the waitress was on trial but it seemed like the manager was checking up on her. No big deal. Overall, I liked this place and from looking at their website it seems like brunch/lunch is their thing more than dinner, so I would consider heading back for that next time I’m in Melbourne.
