I have to thank my friend Chris for arranging our final meetup for the year at this café that we used to frequent for breakfast once a month. The problem was that breakfast was a little too early for some of our friends so we decided to have lunch instead. However, he decided that we should return to this old favourite of ours, and I have to say that nothing has changed — the staff are still great, the food still delicious, and the prices still quite reasonable. Mind you, this is one of those cafes where you pick and choose you ‘big breakfasts’ so you start of with eggs on toast and add things bit by bit. It can get a little pricey if you are looking for a huge feed. Oh, and their fresh orange juice is awesome.

I used to bring my whole team here for breakfast meetings every month. Amazing breakfast options, great coffee and delicious lunch options. Gets hectic at lunch, so book ahead if you’re set on going. They do AMAZING fries, excellent sizzling plates and deconstructed souvlaki, great daily specials, and their club sandwich is a reliable fall back if ever in doubt. Only wish I didn’t now work so far away. I try and find a reason to linger in the city just to drop in for lunch when I can. Go check Chesties out — worth it.
