After a week of hard work, Friday night is takeaway night. We are getting takeaway for the second time from the New Eastern Kitchen using their menulog app to order which offers a great deal of customisation for each dish. There is a good variety of offerings for the family and the dishes are fresh and yummy and they are made promptly. It has been hard to find a good Chinese restaurant down the hill but the New Eastern Kitchen fits the bill.

I’ve been here twice now and on both visits the food and service have been great. It’s busy enough that you don’t have to book, but you also don’t feel like the only people in the restaurant. It’s in a convenient location with parking behind the building and on the road. Service is relatively fast, and the staff are very attentive — even checking up to ask if you are enjoying your meal. Notable dishes include the spring rolls and Pad Thai. The special fried rice is amazing as well! There is also a great wine list which isn’t overpriced. This is definitely a restaurant that I will go to again — maybe even for take away. If you would like to take home the remainder of your meal, there is a 50 cent charge per plastic container provided by the restaurant.
