Easily the best coffee in Adelaide. The staff remember your name and your order. The coffee is served at a perfect temperature to drink and tastes amazing.

Quite simply, the best coffee in the Western Suburbs, if not Adelaide. Staff are terrific, busy or not they’re outstanding, which you don’t get at other venues.

By far the best coffee shop in the area. Fantastic staff and the owner goes out of his way to know your name and have a chat every time you go in. Highly recommended and a must stop location for that morning coffee.

Consistently good coffee. Have had many over the years. High-end machine, their own roasted beans and experienced baristas account for the quality. Small inside with a few seats outside, expect this place to be very busy before/during peak hour. Has a good atmosphere and plays some chilled beats. You’ll note a lot of emergency service workers getting takeaways, always a good sign, they know good coffee. Nothing comes close in this part of Lockleys/Findon area.

Very good; personally I almost gave this little café a 4 star rating, however the barista and manager were nice enough to neglect the surchange on my credit card since I was a first time customer! Thats excellent customer satisfaction right there. The coffee itself was just at the right temperature to drink straight away; supurb! The taste isnt something out of this world, however it has a almost spicy and undiscribable taste to it, very unique blend of flavours that I havent tried before. Very impressive establishment. Would recommend to pop by, but remember to bring cash! Minimum efpos is 5 dollars.

Like most of us — I do love a good cup of coffee. So when I spied a coffee shop that I hadn’t seen before, my inner bean started twitching and I was drawn to it like a moth to a flame! Coffee By The Beans is situated on Henley Beach Road, near Rowells Road. It’s frontage is unmissable with light grey sun blinds covering the entrance. Inside is quite different, with a colourful bicycle hanging on the wall and wooden benches for the patrons to either sit and drink their coffee(they also do a wide range of teas) or to read the paper whilst supping their chosen beverage. The interior isn’t large by any stretch of the imagination, but I guess it doesn’t really have to be; however I was surprised to see 4 members of staff serving — more than the number of patrons, and too many to fit behind the counter. I ordered a small latte(to take away as I was on the road) and waited with anticipation to experience it for the first time at this venue. The chap who served me was very friendly and we chatted about life as he expertly ‘barista’d’! I’m sad to say that my initial reaction after that first taste was«well, that tastes disappointingly unspectacular». Maybe my expectations were too high? Maybe I was hoping for something original and delicious? My latte wasn’t undrinkable by any stretch of the imagination — it was just bland and uninteresting I guess. Will I go back? Possibly. Will I recommend CBTB to others? Sure. Why not? Local businesses need to be supported, so if you’re passing — call in and write your own review on Unilocal. That way a good cross-section of opinions can allow folk to make up their own minds. After all — that’s why we do what we do!

This place of pure coffee goodness has become my local go to. In the last year, I don’t think I’ve had a bad coffee, so much so that I now buy my coffee beans for home use from here too! You just always feel welcome here. Business people and locals alike are always calling in and out. The temperature of a coffee and the ability to be able to drink it immediately is something that indicates a good barista and a good coffee, here is no exception. A regular visit when I have the opportunity, unless I’m at home using their beans to brew my own cup!

Love this place! Best coffees, I’ve never had a bad experience or coffee here. Everyone I know that lives in the area would say coffee by the bean is their go to coffee shop. If you in need of a guarantee good coffee stop on by

OK so my third time here, and my name was not remembered like everyone elses :(Not to worry, the coffee is great. Tried to come again today for a 4th visit in consecutive weeks, and they were closed which annoyed me. I thought they’d be cashing in on the weekend rather than enjoying themselves! Went to Swedish Tarts in Henley instead. Anyway — cool little joint with not so many other cool places to eat/drink around. The Lockleys/Brooklyn Park/Henley/Fulham areas really don’t have the best selection for cuisine, but coffee can be taken care of by these guys.

Good lord. Just go. It’s the best coffee in Adelaide, possibly the world, maybe the universe. And I haven’t even tried the more interesting brews because I’m addicted to the espresso. Go!

Although the café was about to close, this place buzzed from behind the counter and in front. The after school crowd of Mum’s came in for their booster coffee, olds were there for a chin wag and teens picked pour overs or filter coffee to overcome the stress of school day(it’s a hard life). What baffled me was is the way nearly everyone who walked through the door was greeted by name and«same again?» Daniel and Vince are the faces and personality behind coffee by the beans. They live and breathe coffee, but know that it’s the people who drink it that are the important factor to success. They practice what they preach and are«always willing to chat» — spending time engaging everyone who walks through the door. If only every business learnt from these guys! But don’t get me wrong, the coffee is top notch here. A new single origin on offer every month, and small batch experimentals available to take home with you. Uninhibited, unpretentious, uh-mazing place for a takeaway coffee or quick newspaper read and coffee in a suburb where you have to drive 15 minutes either way to stumble across something as high quality. Don’t expect lunch or much food — just go for the coffee and be impressed.

This place surfs the divide between a specialty and a regular coffee haunt really well. I went during a weekday and they seemed pretty focused on the espresso side of things but had various filter methods(v60, syphon, aeropress) setup that I could see. My mum frequents here regularly as she works down the road has told me they remember her name and her preferred coffee. Impressive. Staff were courteous and polite.

Love this place. I will try to get a coffee most mornings(unless I’m running late), and my expectations are always exceeded. Friendly staff, amazing coffee and convenient location. If I had to give one criticism, it would be the minimum eftpos is $ 5 and a large coffee is $ 4. This means I either have to purchase extra items, or choose to skip a purchase entirely; I tend to choose the latter.
