Fu@$en gooood beer. Great atmosphere for a beer connoisseur, not so much for his girlfriend. Outside seating would be great. Staff know what they’re talking about and having a guest Brewer in attendance for a chat was refreshing

Talk about beer to die for. So many great beers and the variety grows all the time. You have to try them all but maybe not on the same night.

Awesome selection of craft beers from Australia and around the world with a constant rotating selection as one keg runs out its replaced by something entirely different. Great attentive staff too. My only suggestion is bring on a selection of bar nibbles nuts chips etc and branded stainless steel growlers like you find in the USA

Launceston has massively moved up a notch in the ’boutique beer’ bar stakes with this place… WOW! After a hard day hitting the vineyard corridor that is the Tamar Valley tasting some world class pinot-n and reislings… This bar hits the spot for a cleansing ale, in fact c.150 different craft brews for sale(take home) and many for on-the-spot consumption… mmm.

Simple bar with a good atmosphere, can be very crowded on Friday and Saturday nights but it’s worth the wait as the bar staff is very friendly. I like the place better outside of fri/sat as it has a cool mix of clientele and craft beers. The spirit selection is good, I can’t speak to the wine selection but I’ve never heard complaints. Food from the food truck behind the bar is of a high standard, however beware the truck is annoyingly cash only.(the bar do cash out)

In the barren wasteland that is Launceston, a glimmer of hope shines on st John’s st. This is your perfect bar. squint stylish but not too glam, cozy, fun, loud, and good drinks. You come here for the beer, although the wine list is ok Can save your evening any day!

If you’re in Launceston and enjoy a good beer, or just want a cool place to hang out and relax in, this is the place for you. Six craft beer taps and must be 60 bottles. Great vibe, great tunes(old school rock), occasional food by Eats with Beats.

I love this place! Having recently spent 12 months in a much bigger city than Launceston, upon moving back, I was craving a place like St. John’s Craft Beer. I was a little concerned when my friends first suggested it as I automatically assumed it would only serve beer, however, I was pleasantly surprised by the selection of beer and other beverages. I think the best part of the visit, would have to be the guys running the place, they obviously know their stuff and treat every customer like a local.

Saint John, a new nicely displayed bar/bottolo located in Launceston town center. My first time in Launceston, so experience where new. This bar was nice, it had a great atmosphere, with lots of locals there. Great prices on beer for Dine in or Take Away. and a great tap system behind the bar. I was impressed with this place, it felt nice sitting in here and all the staff were great. They friendly and helped with recommendations. When i return to Tassie I would go back to this place.
