Some time ago, Kitcch was on my list of favourite breakfast venues in Melbourne. Come here on a Saturday or Sunday morning and it’s crammed to the point of overflow with couples armed with real estate paraphernalia, scoping out the area and getting prepared for a day of house hunting. You can almost set your watch by the time the more popular open for inspections start, because this place clears out and the genuine locals with their dogs start appearing.
Kitcch is a good, solid breakfast/​brunch/​lunch option on this side of town and whilst it’s unlikely to convert those who are strict believers in stereotypes about the West, it’s a safe bet too.
