I usually anticipate a visit to Bunnings with dread. It’s my dad’s favourite store, so our excursions to the hardware store usually involve me sitting outside in the car and waiting… and waiting… and waiting… Turns out Bunnings does have some use for me though. They have a top notch range of plants and pots, and for a reasonable price too. They’ve also got a good selection of paints for interior/exterior purposes, and they mix them up right there on the spot for you. The place is staffed well all of the time too, which was helpful.

Whenever I’m stuck to buy a gift for my Dad, I always venture off to Bunnings, and the one in Inglewood is as big as the best of ‘em. There’s just about anything you’d need(or your Pa would) in the line of gardening, cleaning, woodwork, metalwork, and general fixer-uppering. Two of my most recent best buys here include a massive wood-saw for a mere four bucks, and a folding playing card table for just $ 19. The only thing I’d hope for is that they make use of all the checkouts here; the lines are always long when I come, and that’s not only on special occasions like Christmas or Father’s Day…

I am recommending Inglewood Bunnings due to the paint man! He is a young lad that was extremely helpful. He was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about all things paint, little did I know I could have a 40 min conversations about emulsions that are Matt or glossy or the difference between a synthetic brush and natural bristles. This is one of the smaller Bunnings so if you are after your massive biding materials your choice will be limited here, but it is perfect for the quick product pick up as you can usually get a park and you don’t park 20 Min’s away like you have to at the Morley Bunnings. I would come here for all your paint needs as its quick great service.

Bunnings on Beaufort Street is basically the same as any other Bunnings I’ve been to. What sets this one apart for me are a couple of things: 1) This one is closest to where I live. I’m biased, but there it is. So if you’re living in the Mount Lawley/Inglewood area, this is definitely your local. 2) The helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. All Bunnings seem to hire super friendly and approachable staff, but this was really something else. Not only was the lady in the light bulb section incredibly knowledgeable, but she also helped me find the best priced ecological option.(And she also didn’t judge me for my complete ignorance of light bulbs). So if you’re after practically anything for the home and garden(because let’s face it, Bunnings stocks it), I definitely recommend this particular store.
