Disappointing. They’ve obviously spent a lot of money on the fit out, but after a year it’s looking very shabby with dirty floors, both outside and in, and damaged toilet fittings.
The food was just ok. My partner’s huge mushroom was raw, her spinach had no dressing (frankly steamed spinach is not that palatable). We do expect tomato and mushroom to be cooked through. My stack was hard to manage, but maybe I’m just unco! The cook made an unsuccessful attempt to give me poached eggs which were cooked enough. I do acknowledge that this is hard to do. My coffee was weak and insipid, but it was willingly replaced with a much better one.
You know, it shouldn’t be that hard… decent staff training (they should spot the dirty cup, or the broken toilet seat), cleanliness (every day), attention to detail, keeping busy even when it’s not.
The highlight was the willingness and cheerfulness of the staff we dealt with. It’s a shame they may not be able to work there much longer.

Went to dinner with my girlfriend on a Wednesday night. Ordered a penne chicken meal and penne carbonara. The pasta received was not penne but think pappardelle. The pasta was gluggy and stuck together. My girlfriend couldn’t even finish her meal.
We did tell the staff member before we paid.
It’s sad that our first time eating there was a poor experience.
