Jamaica Blue is not my coffee shop of choice and Whitford City Westfield – I would sooner head over to Caffissimo or Café Georgiou – but I do occasionally find myself over that way and in the mood for a shot or two of espresso. (When I say «occasionally», of course, I actually mean «when I need to find somewhere to review for Unilocal».)
Jamaica Blue makes a pretty decent cup of joe and the set up in the middle of the square is a good one. I don’t much go in for all its pre-​made foodstuffs – the focaccias and the rolls and the quiches – and I’m even less enamoured of the over-​the-​top Starbucks-​style chilled lattes and machadachafrappawhatevers. But again: the espresso isn’t bad and, when you’re that side of the shopping centre, there are worse things you could do than take a shot of it for your health.
