I drag friends, family and strangers here because of one thing and one thing only. The warm bread with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. It shouldn’t really be noteworthy but somehow it is. The classic combination is my favourite dish at this Italian restaurant but everything I have tried, from the antipasto plate, gnocchi, pizza and calamari salad is high quality, well portioned and delicious.
Deco gets it right. A diverse menu that combines classic Mediterranean fare with modern combinations.
The service is professional, friendly and attentive and the wine list good value. The restaurant itself decked out with dark wood, white table clothes but a total lack of pretension. Casual elegance.
They have an upstairs function room for groups and you can order takeaway off the menu.
Deco is located directly across the road from The Rivoli, perfect to enjoy dinner before a movie at the art deco Rivoli or even just to drop by after wards for coffee and desert.
