Fantastic Thai food! I had the Green Papaya Salad(on special) while my partner went with the Pad Thai, and had the salt and pepper calamari to start. The calamari was fresh and looked like actual squid tentacles. This shouldn’t be such a rarity! My salad was INCREDIBLY spicy, while delicious(papaya, chili, peanuts, carrots…) and flavoursome, and my partner’s Pad Thai was so satisfying — I’ve come across many-a bland Thai noodle dish in my time — and though the noodles weren’t actually Pad Thai noodles, but rather a thinner rice noodle, the dish was flavourful and incredibly tasty. The corkage was fairly reasonable at $ 5 per person, and the menu was extensive. I’d definitely go back for another try!

I’ve been here a few times now and if I had written this review after the first two visits it would be a four, pushing on a 5 star review. What’s happened? I lost my shiz over their Chicken and Pumpkin Curry to begin with. It was amazingly creamy, spicy and fresh. The last two serves of it however lacked anything other than Chicken and spice. Where’s my pumpkin?! I don’t know if they have changed the recipe and now blend the pumpkin into the sauce but please, bring back the chunks! They also seem to think it’s okay to give you 4 prawns in a serving of stir-fry — two of which being just the head. No, no, no. And don’t give us attitude when we question it(and bring one prawn out on a plate to make up for it!) Given how close this is to my house, I will still come back for the occasional take away but those dizzy heights of the early days seem to be gone forever.

Ten of us just had dinner and all us agreed every meal was delicious. If you hear a ‘but’ in there it was disappointing that 4 out 10(all ordered a curry dish) had their order forgotten and it took several follow ups for the meals to finally arrive, some 30mins after everyone else. Personally I had the Thai Green Curry it was lovely though a lot sweeter than what I would have expected. Did have a great kick to it though. The restaurant is BYO so that;‘s a rare bonus these days. Parking is easy on the weekend(out front). It’s very clean, nice looking place once inside(you almost drive past it). They don’t split bills. Would go again but perhaps not such a large group.

Just had a great dinner at Bangkok tce. Really loved the entrée prawns with green rice flakes and the salt and pepper calamari. For mains we had duck curry which was really tasty, but a bit too salty for me. My sister had the Laos beef which was spectacularly tender. The sizzling seafood plate was ok, but lacked something, and the chicken Pad Thai was a little gluggy and overcooked. Would go again, and have the beef salad which I’ve heard is good. Parking is easy too, out the front. Definitely recommended.
