I always drop by Glendalough IGA because they’re crispy m&m’s are always $ 2.99. I don’t know why, but i’m not complain’! This IGA is so convenient and central for me, located in a small shopping complex next to a petrol station too. I’d say it’s one of the older IGA’s that hasn’t been renovated and has that kind of country feel to it. The arrangement of goods is quite weird and out of whack but I guess that’s more of a personal issue with myself. Smaller than most, but stocks all grocery goods and even has a european sweets section — always a plus :)

It’s always a nice idea to support independent retailers, but often that can mean paying more for what they’re selling. Luckily that’s not so with IGA. A weekly shop for me in here costs considerably less than when I go to Woolies or Coles, and the food, particularly the fruit and veg, is usually fresher and much better quality. Top tip for shopping in IGA in Glendalough — buy freshly cut slices of ham from the small meat counter inside the door — they’re better quality and better value than buying processed meat slices from the packages in the fridges.
