The newest buzz in Glen Waverley, this place is owned by the same people who own Straits of Malacca in Glen Waverley. It has replaced Hakka House as they have moved to smaller venue. It is really easy to get to and there is parking both in front of the restaurant and behind in the parking lot behind dan murphy’s/opposite the train station. We were meeting up with friends so had a table ready, the first thing I noticed was the thickness of the menu, there are so many choices! They have entrees, asian drinks, desserts, rice, noodles, soup, and my favourite Snacks! People from our table ordered the prawn noodles, beef noodles, pork chop set with rice. They all finished it and for the price of the food the servings were suitable. We all got a plate of the steamed dumplings, these were really colorful and each one had a different taste, my favourite was the red sichuan spicy one that you leave till last. I got a few snacks from the menu instead of getting a set meal/main dish: Taiwanese sausage-tasted very close to home but was too expensive at $ 4.8×1. The Taiwanese hamburger was tasty but the bun wasn’t as fluffy as I would have liked and the popcorn chicken, I will be getting that again! If you like their page on facebook, you also get a 10% discount card so our whole table did that… they take cash only(hopefully this will change for convenience). I don’t think this place is very fancy but if you are looking for a quick bite to eat with a cheap price tag and want to try a new place, check it out.
