I guess a new Japanese restaurant moving into the space of an old one means you are inevitably compared to what came before you. Miya has taken the place of the much loved Teriyaki restaurant in Glebe. It’s a Korean-run Japanese restaurant serving up a similar menu to the old Teriyaki, but less selection and less traditional. The quality of the food isn’t as good, but for a $ 15-ish lunch the servings are HUGE. Service is enthusiastic and friendly, although very slow. I hope Miya can survive in Teriyaki’s old haunt! Give it a go and see what you think.
