In the 1001 Arabian Nights, Ali Baba is left as the only person who knows the secret of the treasure cave and how to access it. However, here is the gateway to all literary treasures, open to all. You will discover titles you’ve always wanted to read but could never find, tomes you never knew existed as well as some of the latest popular titles. Shelves upon shelves of endless worlds are waiting to be discovered. Set aside a good amount of time to dig for treasure.

So many books. This warehouse is the twilight zone when it comes to books and pricing in Perth. Everything is resonably priced and when it comes to variety well, lets say you may need some time to work your way though your options. They don’t only have old releases either, they store all new releases also. On weekends, customers are allowed to park next door which is a godsend as parking otherwise would be a little tricky.

Just a quick update: I have been informed that you can park out the back on Quarry Street and come into the store via the back door; this is a much better option and will save me a lot of walking! The loss of a star was for the parking; this takes them up to five!

This book warehouse is simply proliferated with books of every variety. Stuff for adults, kids, avid readers and those who probably don’t fancy reading much at all, fills the shelves. There is such a variety in the range of books available, you’re sure to find something that will suit most people’s needs. They have new books here too and they’re often sold for less than the usual recommended retail price. What a score! This book warehouse is high on my list to visit, particularly when I need a present for a hard-to buy-for relative or friend. I reckon if I trawled the shelves long enough I could find something everyone would like. Their kid’s range is pretty extensive and tops too. Like other reviewers have said, parking can be a problem but that’s basically a given in Freo. For this reason, I wouldn’t come here as a one-off but rather plan a few other places to visit too. Or simply schedule a block of time to spend in Freo — the port city offers a host of other places to peruse around Elizabeth’s best book store yet.

There is no Elizabeth’s Bookshop that I don’t like! And when you put«Warehouse» into the name, you’ll know I’ll LOVE it! The one flaw this place has is it’s location; I can never find parking(which is why I’ve only been here once)! You can’t find parking before the bookshop, nor near it, nor when you pass it. But I guess that’s the curse of Fremantle in general. Other than that, Elizabeth’s Bookshop Warehouse is full of second hand books you’ll be hard pressed to find elsewhere. After watching«Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas», I became quite obsessed with reading the book. And I looked, oh I looked for it everywhere. I was even told it was out of print by a moronic Dymocks employee. But, as I walked into the Warehouse, it’s shiny yellow cover just caught my eye! I was over the moon, snatched it up immediately, and held it to my chest until it was time to pay. If you’re having trouble finding a book, ESPECIALLY if you’ve been told it’s out of print, head here and try your luck.

Elizabeth and her second-hand wares are a popular staple amongst Australia’s literary lovers. Most operate as local purveyors of used books, with not much differentiation between the branches. The Warehouse on Queen Victoria Street, however, surpasses them all. It’s way more organised(bar their ambiguous opening times), with books actually sorted alphabetically and not all higgilty-piggilty like with the rest of the stores. Being a warehouse and all, there’s a lot more room so naturally, they’ve filled it with more books. And they’re not just pre-loved dog-eared hardbacks, either. They’ve got some new stuff here too, but they sell for less than the usual RRP. Most notably, they have a good erotic art section and loads of books for the kiddy winks. I even found Woody Allen’s books here too! Not bad. As I mentioned, their opening times are a little hazy. They seem to open and close whenever they feel like, but a good rule of thumb is to visit sometime after lunch.
