This was a morning after breakfast, and knowing that I had just that 1 drink too many(maybe more like 12 too many) it was going to be simple. I started with a strong coffee, it was a nice coffee, the milk not burnt, and the beans roasted mildly. I ordered the Egg and Bacon roll, with a side of Chorizo. The eggs were cooked perfect, the white solid, with delicately runny yolks. The bacon was smoked and another another dimension. The bun was of a brioche type, soft and sweet, and finished it off nicely. I would have to say this was a great start to the day. My partner had the Feta and Advocado smash. Although I did not eat this, I did sneak a few mouth fulls of it and I will definitely be ordering this next time I am there. We took our seeing eye dog again and were greeted with nothing but smiles. The idea behind this café is great with all profits going to youths that need assistance.

There are some pretty decent breakfast options around Kensington, but Streat is a sneaky little spot that is also well worth a visit. Unfortunately it was also packed on a Saturday morning, so we sat out in the little courtyard, which was alright… Nice little spot, though lots of little flies even though it’s winter, and the bathrooms being right there put me off a tad. However! Food was pretty delish. Had the Hunter, which was essentially just all meat and eggs! Quite nice, but regretted not having any greens. Bagel on the other hand looked amazing… Will be trying that next time! You might know Streat from their pop-up stall at Melbourne Central. They’re a great company doing good things, and so drop by here if you’re in the area.

This place is amazing. I love what they stand for, their food is perfect and whoever puts the menu together has an amazing pallette. The coffee is great and they’re always changing their single origin espresso and cold brew and we try something new every time we go. By far my favourite place for breakfast and I’m always happy if we have to wait for a table because not only is the food worth it, the cause is great and it means more people are discovering it.

This place is a wee beauty hidden from the obvious eye… Went in for brunch, and was met with a cracking café with a comfy feel, great atmosphere, fantastic friendly staff and a great cause. You have to stop by and see for yourself. Great place.

Went to this little gem for a midday breakfast. If you’re having breakfast any earlier than lunchtime on a Thursday then SHUTUPYOU’RENOTMYREALDAD. «We’re going to Streat», she said. «Sounds grounded», I replied, thinking that the name was actually«Street». “OHHHHNOW I GETIT!”, I exclaimed as I came into eyeshot of this nestled location. «Because it’s on a street and you eat there!» The setup is nice and quaint and homely and charming, as you’d expect from an urban all-day café. Greeted happily by the staff as we entered and chose to sit out in the rear garden. What a treat! Gorgeous little setting, albeit small. Smoking is okay out here if that tickles your larynx and there are toys and board games available for the small contingent of little ones(or big ones if you feel like a game of Monopoly over a meal). I ordered ‘The Hunter’ and it’s essentially a big breakfast. All amazingly large servings, delicious elements and a few little differences like homemade hash browns just to give it a bit of charm. Really delicious. The staff were extremely nice and funny also. We sat around and ate then grabbed a couple of extra drinks after one of the waiters came and asked us, «if there’s anything I could say to emplore you to spend more of your money on us». We laughed and laughed and laughed and made out and laughed then I bought another drink after he said he was, «just being cheeky». Couldn’t recommend this place more. Head to Streat to eat(see? I’m all over it now).
