So, I don’t knit. Or sow. Or crochet, spin yarn or anything related. (I have been known to spin a yarn, but that is different).
I found Yarn & Co on Unilocal as I needed to buy some kid mohair yarn for a friend who couldn’t easily get it, and likely couldn’t afford it.
I have NEVER enjoyed 3 minutes in a shop as much as I did the experience here. The staff are lovely and while I didn’t get what I was after from this shop, the staff told me where to get what I was after as quickly as possible from another location!
Go here, visit them, have a cup of tea and give them your money (I feel a little guilty).

I’ve been a knitter for close to 30 years and always on the lookout for a local yarn store that stocks beautiful and good quality yarns.
Yarn and Co are amazing! A lovely and super friendly mother and daughter team that are approachable and knowledgeable. The felt seats are perfect for staying in and knitting, while passersby check you out, aka performance art style!
I had the High Tea, which you must pre-​book in for and highly recommend! A great way to spend a few hours knitting and enjoying delicacies that are made on site! The lavender mousse was amazing.
If you are wanting to learn, Yarn and Co have a great array of classes that are very affordable.
My new favourite LYS (that’s local yarn store for non-​knitty folk!
