Came here on a very rainy and miserable morning for breakfast. I ordered the avocado toast and it was honestly the best I’ve ever had. All the fresh herbs(coriander, basil, dill) really took it to the next level. The atmosphere was so nice and relaxed I ended up ordering consecutive cups of tea so I could sit there for longer. I also really appreciate places that have a good range of vegan, vegetarian, and meat options, because I’m vegan myself but it’s good to find places that cater to all so I know I can bring all kinds of friends there. Only taking a star off because they charge extra for soy milk and wouldn’t split the bill.

I could sit at one of their window seats with a coffee all morning and people watch on Brunswick Street. The place has a comfy vibe for a casual breakfast or a place to hang with a laptop and sketch book. There are breakfast & lunch options for dine-in along with take-away deli foods like sandwiches and yummy salads. The place was packed when we visited on Saturday afternoon, but we were seated in less than five minutes. The poached eggs and hollandaise are served on top of hashbrown cakes instead of the traditional English muffin. And I was able to substitute grilled mushrooms for the bacon. An excellent option, as the shrooms were freakin delicious. I’m adding Alimentari to my list of happy brunch places.

They provided excellent service and worked like a well oiled machine. The coffee was extremely good and the décor provides a real and natural way to enjoy that«extremely good coffee».

During the week, in the mornings, I’ll usually pop in for a takeaway coffee, which is never a long wait for. If I feel like something more substantial during the day, I’ll grab one of their meatball wraps. Seriously, how do they make it so delicious? I wish my wraps at home tasted this good, but no, something magic going on here. And on the weekend, I’ll always pop in for the same thing, the corn fritters with bacon and avocado. Just too delicious. Although one of their staff was pretty rude to me once, it’s not worth having a cry over. I mean, magic meatball wraps.

What a place! I wish they would open a location in San Francisco. The food is fantastic and for what you get not as over priced as the rest of Australia. The staff is friendly and the décor is visually stimulating. Definitely worth a try.

I want a coffee and unimpeded access to their deli cabinet, sit on the street and watch the world go by. That is all!

Oh man. I could eat their meatballs all day long. The coffee is also fantastic. I’ll definitely be back.

My favourite lunch spot in Fitzroy. Or even in Melbourne. But I ate there too much and now I’m fat. Still, meatball wraps every day is worth it!

The Brunswick Street Alimentari is a great spot for food. However, I rarely eat here. Instead, I come here for their great deli options to take away. They have my favourite French cheese — delice de bourgogne — and other great cheese options as well that I tend to ignore because I love the delice. There are some tasty baguettes/sandwiches at the counter — proscuttio, bacon, eggs, etc. It’s also great if you’re looking to buy some gourmet pastas. What I really like about this place is their coffee. It’s definitely my go to place for a take away coffee. However, be warned, this place can get really busy so a quick take away might not be as quick as you’d like.

Great spot for brunch. Meatballs are delicious and big brekkie a real treat. Coffees are high quality. Could improve beer choices.

A little deli on Brunswick St that doubles as a café. We stopped in here for a coffee thinking we might also get a snack and took a seat at one of the tables inside(there’s outdoor seating on the footpath too). It was pretty busy and cramped inside, but the décor is cosy and it certainly wasn’t noisy or in any way unbearable. The waiter took a while to get to us and we didn’t get very attentive service — and then there wasn’t anything ‘snack size’ on the menu that was vegetarian, which is pretty common for a café I guess but I thought seeing as this is a ‘deli’ primarily they’d at least have some small items or baked goods at the counter. It’s mostly cheeses(which do look amazing) and various salads that aren’t very cheap. Anyway, I ordered a chai on soy and that was delicious. Really good. So I think I’d come back when it’s not crazy busy and maybe sit out the front on a nice afternoon for a coffee or a chai, and I’ll definitely be back for some cheese!
