I’ve been to Yang Tse once and ordered take away a few times, be warned, if you don’t like spicy food, be careful, these guys like their spices, I am usually fine with ‘Hot’ dishes at other restaurants but here even the one chilli rated dishes were very hot. Service is good and the food is quite nice, when it’s not burning a hole through you from the inside, they have typical dishes as well as a few that aren’t always on menus at other restaurants, if something is listed as hot on the menu, keep in mind this is a bit more authentic than the light options we usually see at other restaurants. A good option if you are after a quick, easy and tasty meal without fuss.

We have eaten here a couple of times and have always enjoyed it. However, tonight was the first time that we got it home delivered. It was extremely quick and the driver was probably the friendliest person I have ever met, EVER! It definitely tipped me over to loving this place.

My boyfriend and I ordered take away from Yang Tse River last night, this was our first visit and we will definately be returning. I am a vegetarian and these were the best vege fried rice and noodles I have ever eaten. There were so many vegetables and different varieties to the norm. My boyfriend had the Chicken Satay skewers as a starter and practically inhaled them(he says they were that good) he had chicken and cashew nut for main and loved that too. We will be returning again soon for a dine-in experience. I will review again after that.

It looks like a sort of neo-Chinese night club from the outside, but you feel as if you’ve stepped into a real, authentic Australian-Chinese restaurant. Indeed, considering the Asian staff, the Chinese interior, the Chinese food AND the restaurants location in South Australia, I’d say this IS an authentic Australian-Chinese restaurant. So, with that revelation, we can sit down to enjoy a meal. Chinese cuisine often brings with it a sort of prejudice, but this restaurant doesn’t adhere to the low quality normally inherent in these type of places. The establishment’s owner is also the head chef, so it’s in his best interest to make the food as good as is within his talent and power. The garlic crispy ribs is apparently the popular favourite, but — expecting there to be plenty of reviews commenting on the popular dish already(of which I now see was a premature assumption) — I went for the chef’s special chilli and chicken fillet. It wasn’t TOO expensive(but it wasn’t cheap either), but it tasted damn good. Check it out.

I’ve been to this restaurant only once, but after that first visit I’m sure I will be returning again. The first time I went there I ordered off of their specials menu and I’ve found that they serve more than just the traditional dishes that you’d find in most other Chinese restaurants around. The things I ordered were a cold steamed chicken dish and tofu spinach kind of soup which were both excellent, though next time I think I will ask for the chicken to be served warm instead. The interior is nicely decorated and gives you that Chinese restaurant feel. I realize I talk about feel alot in my reviews, but for me the environment you are in helps add to the food you are eating. The staff were friendly and polite, smiling as we walked in which for me I felt was quite rare for a Chinese restaurant. It could just be my imagination. The place wasn’t packed, but we went there quite early so I think we beat the dinner crowd. Overall, a really nice restaurant which I’ll definitely be checking out again.

I have eaten at this place multiple times, so there’s obviously a reason I return. They offer a banquet, for two people, $ 25 each, and there no way we could finish it all. The food was delicious, filling, original as well. There was certainly something unique about the food, but I can’t put my finger on it. Secret ingredient? Doubtful, but I suppose every cook has their own special techniques. The staff are incredibly friendly and polite as well. All round fantastic Chinese food restaurant.
