Catholic church serving the people of Essendon and surrounding ‘burbs. Highlights include the large alabaster statue and new heating. Formerly a cold and bleak building during winter, it is no only cold occasionally. Like many grand old churches, it now goes relatively empty most of the time, except for major events/feast days. Which is a shame, as the wood interior is phenomenal for a suburban worship house. I guess carpentry and rose windows aren’t that attractive in a Sunday morning for mist of us! Has seen many funerals for local personalities and leading lights, including my grandparents and Carl Williams. Connected to the neighbouring primary school, St Terese’s.
