My little slice of Paris withing walking distance — what’s not to love! This place gets quite busy on the weekends so you may need to wait to order and be quick to secure a table, especially in a group of four or more. When you walk in the delicious smell hits you and immediately makes your mouth water! All available the delicious food offerings are tauntingly on display which will either help or hinder your ability to decide what to eat! Coffee is sport on and staff, though busy, are polite and efficient.

I always say«the best way to judge a Parisian boulangerie is by their croissants». We had seen this place quite a few times so thought we would run in quickly after breakfast down the road. We wandered in and I was immediately saddened to see a half empty desserts cabinet before 10am on a Saturday morning. Hopefully this is just the scale down over the holiday period. We were greeted immediately by someone who seemed to 1. Care less we were paying customers 2. Was annoyed her colleague didn’t get to us first. I ordered 2 take away croissants and paid. The whole transaction took all of 2 minutes. We took the croissants home and ate them. Dry, tough and bready. Nothing like a traditional croissant and made me think of supermarket versions. I was extremely disappointed in this place and would of scored higher if the service was up to scratch. The staff can make or break a place and the owners need to get on this this! However! their other desserts look absolutely brilliant so maybe just skip the croissants and enjoy a tart! We won’t be back any time soon.

A taste of Paris in Essendon. Escape in this brilliant Patisserie, best coffee in Essendon and the pastries are to die for! Friendly staff and worth a visit!

The almond croissant was worth the 30 minute bike ride, the staff were really friendly, maybe a little slow, but friendly. The atmosphere isn’t too social and«brunchy» which I loved. You could sit alone and read without feeling too judged if you know what I mean

How do you review a place like this? Well, I guess honestly is the best way, so here we go… I’ve got to break it down into two components; food and drink & service Food and drink — 5 stars Had a coffee, half a pie and a spinach and ricotta roll — all of these were fantastic. Seriously, the Thai pie was outstandingly good. Service — 1 star(we got served) As per the previous review, the staff here have more attitude than a snarly sarcastic French waiter. Come here for the food. It’s worth it if you can resist punching the staff.

Beautiful almond croissants in a chic little storefront. A little bit sad to see that the staff here have really taken on the Parisian attitude, which at times can make you feel a little undeserving if their time. I’m now a FIFO customer for these beautiful French delicacies. Many a birthday dinners have been saved by a fly in trip to grab an impressive cake to wow all my friends. There’s limited parking out the front but ample out the back. Be ware of the yellow rhinos(trams ya know)!

alors. a trusty & delightful french patisserie & boulangerie in this part of melbourne. it is a wonderful place if you ever find yourself in the area as it seems you can always find a table despite the abundance of customers in its tiny space & there is just the right amount of fanciness to be found too. there is attention to detail. delicious properly made french eats. & frankly the best strawberry tarts i have ever tasted! {having been to many french towns myself.} the décor is lovely. i find the food is always consistent & there is a little of that ‘je né sais quoi’… bien sûr. n_n
