Nice local roast chicken shop, with all the trimmings and sides.
Their chickens are from Lillydale which is great knowing the chickens have had a nice life roaming freely around the paddocks.
The chickens are not charcoal roasted but strangely have a delish almost smoky flavour to them. The wing tips are particularly good like this, crispy and well seasoned. So is the parsons nose which lets face it, I am proud to admit I love that bit of the chicken!
Not as flashy as a certain charcoal roast chicken place a few doors up the road but their prices certainly reflect that. Still a bit steep but it is Elwood after all.
I’ve never had to wait long here. On the other hand the other place up the road I waited for what was an eternity when it was only myself and another person waiting for our order.
